OKLAHOMA CITY – The Sooner Athletic Conference volleyball players of the week featured student-athletes who boast of several weekly honors from the league.
Mid-America Christian's Hanna Foecker hauled in her ninth career SAC attacker of the week nod, while her teammate Maegan Plunk became conference defender of the week for the sixth time. Morgan Burns of Texas Wesleyan collected her third SAC setter of the week honor.
Attacker of the week: Hanna Foecker | Sr. | OH | Borken, Germany
Hanna Foecker registered 6.30 kills, 1.50 digs and 0.25 blocks per set with a .412 hitting percentage during a landmark week for Mid-America Christian. Foecker surpassed 1,000 career kills on Aug. 30 against Science & Arts, then set the program record for a four-set match by nailing 30 kills vs. College of the Ozarks (Mo.) on Friday in Batesville, Ark. Her 22 kills against Jarvis Christian (Texas) accounted for the second best kill total in a three-set match in Evangel annals, while her .708 hitting percentage ranked in the top 10 for a match in program history. Foecker tops the NAIA in kills per set (5.10) and total kills (214) with a .309 attack percentage this year.

Maegan Plunk notched 30-dig performances in back-to-back matches, including a record 31 digs against College of the Ozarks. Plunk equaled the most by an Evangel in a four-set contest with 30 against John Brown, then broke the mark against College of the Ozarks. She made the 30-dig club for the sixth time in her Mid-America career. Plunk supplied Mid-America Christian with 5.80 digs and 0.25 aces a set this week.

Morgan Burns tallied two double-doubles, including two 30-assist outings as Texas Wesleyan took on three ranked foes in the Bellevue Labor Day Classic. Burns led the Lady Rams to a 20-25, 25-21, 30-32, 25-19, 15-13 win over 15th-ranked Westmont (Calif.) with 30 assists and 12 digs. She added 33 assists and 15 digs against Doane (Neb.) earlier Saturday in Bellevue, Neb.
