Oklahoma City –Wayland Baptist University’s Michael Bellfield, is the week twelve winner of the Sooner Athletic Conference Oklahoma Ford men’s basketball player of the week.

A 6-foot-9 junior center from Palestine, Texas, Bellfield helped the Pioneers to a pair of home conference wins over Southwestern Assemblies of God University (81-64) and University of North Texas at Dallas (86-67). Bellfield scored 20 points in 23 minutes each game, shooting 64 percent from the field including 82 percent (9-of-11) against UNT Dallas. He averaged 8½ rebounds and against the Trailblazers was one rebound short of his second double-double of the season.
