Oklahoma City – The last day of the regular season in the Sooner Athletic Conference football schedule brought a lot of excitement and a three-way tie for the conference championship.

After Louisiana Christian defeated Texas Wesleyan and OUZA knocked off Panhandle State, all three teams finished the conference schedule with a record of 7-1. Once the tie-breaker procedure kicked in, Louisiana Christian earned the league's automatic berth into the NAIA Football National Tournament. The Wildcats held a one-point difference in point differential over Texas Wesylean to earn the auto berth.

All three teams will now await to hear their names called on Sunday evening at 6 p.m. as the NAIA National Office will announce the field for the 2023 NAIA Football National Championships.
