Oklahoma City- Torrence Bardell and James Grace of Langston and Jason Mendoza of OUAZ are this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Oklahoma Ford Dealers Football Players of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday morning.
 
Bardell earned the league’s Offensive Player of the Week honor while Grace was named Defensive Player of the Week, with Mendoza garnering the league’s Special Teams Player of the Week honor.
 
Bardell is a key player in the Lions’ 35-31 victory over Panhandle State as he was 20-for-39 through the air for 465 yards and four touchdowns while he rushed for another 33 yards on nine carries. Bardella averaged 11.9 yards per completion and finished the day with an 185.3 efficiency rating.

Grace paced the Langston defense in their win over Panhandle State with five total tackles, three of which were solo stops. Grace also accounted for a sack and 2.5 tackles for loss for 14 yards in the victory.

Mendoza paced the Spirit in a 76-14 victory over Simpson as he connected on 10 -of-11 extra points in the win. Mendoza also had one punt for 58 yards and added a touchdown-saving tackle on one of his kickoffs.
