Oklahoma City – Aaron Williams, Jr. of Panhandle State and Treshawn Cody Langston have earned this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards for their efforts over the past week, as announced by the conference office Monday morning.
Willimas, Jr. helped the Aggies to a 1-1 record last week as he scored 23.5 points per game on 50 percent shooting from the field. Williams, Jr. connected on 13 three-pointers while going a perfect 2-of-2 from the charity stripe. He also added seven assists for the week and 15 rebounds.
Other Nominees - Chuks Ejifore, Wayland Baptist, Jonas Carlisle, Oklahoma City, Andrew Dalton, College of the Ozarks, Latrel Davis, Nelson, Daylan Hamilton, Texas Wesleyan, Omar Henry, Langston, Trae Oetting, John Brown, and Morris Williams, Mid-America Christian.
Cody was instrumental in Langston’s 86-74 victory over Texas A&M Texarkana as he had six defensive rebounds in the contest. Cody also added three steals and two blocks in the victory in 23 minutes of action.
