Oklahoma City –Kameryn Phillips of Texas Wesleyan has earned this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards for her efforts over the past week, as announced by the conference office Monday morning.
Phillips paced the Rams to a 1-1 record on the road last week by averaging 21.0 points per contest on 66.7 percent shooting. Phillips scored a team-high 24 points in a win over Our Lady of the Lake, while adding a team-high 18 points in a loss to Texas A&M – San Antonio. Phillips also grabbed 16 total rebounds in the two games.

On the defensive end for the Rams, Phillips collected 11 defensive boards and had six steals over the two-game stretch. In the win over Our Lady of the Lake, Phillips had six defensive caroms and five steals, while in the loss to Texas A&M – San Antonio, she added five defensive boards and a steal.
