Nelson Sits in the Top Spot of the 2025 SAC Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll

Oklahoma City – After going through the 2024 Sooner Athletic Conference regular season undefeated, Nelson University narrowly claimed the top spot in the 2025 SAC Volleyball Preseason Poll as voted on by the league's head coaches.
 
The Lions garnered the top spot in the poll with 116 points while earning seven first-place votes after finishing last season with an overall record of 31-6 and a perfect 22-0 mark in conference play before falling to Texas Wesleyan in the conference tournament final. Nelson advanced to the NAIA National Tournament last season.
 
The Rams earned the second position in the poll with 115 points as they garnered five first-place nods. Texas Wesleyan finished the regular season with an overall record of 25-9 and had a league mark of 18-4 before gaining the tournament championship. The Rams also gained a bid to the NAIA National Tournament last season.
 
John Brown earned the third spot on the preseason list with 94 points after finishing last season with an overall mark of 17-15 and a league record of 15-7.
 
Oklahoma City grabbed the fourth spot on the list with 89 points, while Mid-America Christian rounded out the top five in the fifth spot with 82 points.
