Oklahoma City – After claiming the 2024 conference regular season championship, Mid-America Christian has earned the top spot in the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll as voted on by the league's head coaches.
The Evangels grabbed the No. 1 position in the poll with 79 points and eight first-place votes after they completed the 2024 season with an overall record of 14-3-4 and a league mark of 7-0-2. Mid-America Christian fell in the conference tournament championship match to Oklahoma City before advancing to the NAIA National Tournament.
The Stars garnered the second spot in the poll with 72 points and a pair of first-place votes after finishing last year with an overall mark of 14-2-4 and a league record of 6-1-2. Oklahoma City defeated MACU 1-0 in the conference tournament title game before they also moved on to the NAIA National Tournament.
John Brown will start the fall campaign in the third slot on the list with 65 points after finishing the regular season in second place last year with an overall record of 11-1-6 and a conference record of 7-1-1.
Science & Arts claimed the fourth spot in the poll with 54 points, while Southwestern Christian rounds out the top five in fifth place with 43 points.
