Cunningham, Sosnicki, and Hilborn Claim SAC Football Player of the Week Honors


Oklahoma City- Datlan Cunningham and Levi Hilborn of Louisiana Christian and Justice Sosnicki of OUAZ are this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Football Players of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday morning.
 
Cunningham earned the league’s Offensive Player of the Week honor, while Sosnicki was named Defensive Player of the Week, with Hilborn garnering the league’s Special Teams Player of the Week honor.
 
Cunningham paced the Wildcats to a 43-37 victory over Wayland Baptist with 157 yards rushing on 30 carries with two touchdowns on the evening. Cunninghame finished with an average of 5.2 yards per carry, and a carry of 34 yards was his longest run of the game.
 
Other Nominees - Luke Giron, OUAZ, Keamodre Horace, Wayland Baptist, Jalen March, Texas Wesleyan, and Cameron Marshall, Arkansas Baptist.
 
Sosnicki led the Spirit defense in a 28-7 victory over Nelson with eight total tackles, including four solo stops in the win. Sosnicki also had 2.5 sacks for 15 yards and a fumble recovery for 20 yards in the conference win.
 
Other Nominees - Braden Purifoy, Arkansas Baptist, Tyrone Morgan, Wayland Baptist, and Kylon Polk, Louisiana Christian.
 
Hilborn accounted for seven points in the Louisiana Christian victory over Wayland Baptist as he made four extra points and converted a field goal from 22 yards out in the win.
