Horsford and Lonberg Garner SAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week Awards

Oklahoma City – Amelia Horsford of Oklahoma City and Ashlyn Lonberg of Science & Arts have been named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Players of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning. 
 
Horsford aided the Stars to a 12-0 rout over Sterling last week by scoring a hat trick and adding an assist in the victory. Horsford finished the match with four total shots, with three of those being on frame.
 
Other Nominees - Katherine Keys, John Brown, Gladis Avalos, Mid-America Christian, Emily Chavez, Oklahoma Panhandle State, Shosona Graham, Southwestern Christian, Stephanie Hernandez, Nelson, Sofia Melendez, Wayland Baptist, and Chiara Morel, Science and Arts.
              
Lonberg collected her second consecutive weekly award by posting two more shutouts, which runs that streak to four consecutive matches, including a 1-0 win over No. 23 Columbia College. Lonberg had nine saves over the two wins last week, including eight stops in the victory over Columbia College. Lonberg now has 13 clean sheets in her career as a Drover.
