Oklahoma City- Jaylen Magee and Kenny White of OUAZ and Octavio Resendiz of Langston are this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Football Players of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday morning.
Magee earned the league’s Offensive Player of the Week honor, while White was named Defensive Player of the Week, with Resendiz garnering the league’s Special Teams Player of the Week honor.
Magee aided the Spirit to a 56-10 victory over Panhandle State with 152 all-purpose yards on the evening as he had 106 yards on the ground in 19 rushes with a touchdown while adding 46 yards on three receptions and another touchdown. Magee averaged 5.6 yards per carry and 15.3 yards per catch in the win for OUAZ.

White as outstanding defensively for the Spirit in their victory over Panhandle State as he had six total tackles with three solo stops while having a tackle for a loss in the contest. White also had a fumble recovery that he returned 47 yards for a touchdown and an interception that he returned 40 yards for a score.

Resendiz helped the Lions to their first win of the year by going 5-for-5 in extra points in a 35-28 victory over Texas College. Resendiz also had eight punts for an average of 40.1 yards per punt with two of those landing inside the 20-yard line.
