Oklahoma City – Christian Yanovitch of Oklahoma City and Makena Junkin of Texas Wesleyan have been named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Digital Scoreboards Men’s Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.  
 
Yanovitch took part in the Texas Wesleyan Spring Invitational held at Squaw Creek Golf Course and fired a pair of sub-par rounds to claim the top spot in the individual event. Yanovitch shot rounds of 65-72-66 for a 10-under-par score of 203 to outdistance his nearest competitor by three strokes. Yanovitch had 17 birdies during the 54-hole event to help the Stars to a two-stroke victory in the team chase.

Junkin also took part in the event at Squaw Creek and finished second in the individual event by firing rounds 72-74-68 for a two-under-par score of 214. Junkin’s final round was the best in the tournament as she helped the Rams tie for first in the team standings.
