Oklahoma City Claims the 2025-26 SAC Commissioner's Cup

Oklahoma City – For the first time since 2022-23, Oklahoma City University has earned the 2025-26 Sooner Athletic Conference Commissioner’s Cup as announced by the conference office at the annual Athletic Directors meeting last week.

The final standings for the year-long competition are determined by assigning a point value for how a school places in the regular season of each SAC-sponsored sport. Then, an average is computed from the points earned and the possible points to determine the winning school.

The Stars scored 110.5 out of a possible 139 points to claim the top spot with an average of 0.795, while two-time defending Commissioner’s Cup champion Mid-America Christian earned second place in the standings by garnering 71.5 out of 95 possible points for an average of 0.7526. Nelson grabbed 89.5 out of 123 points for an average of 0.7276 to finish third in the year-long competition.

Oklahoma City placed first in the men’s and women’s cross-country, men’s golf, men’s soccer, and men’s wrestling, while placing second in women’s golf, softball, and women’s track this past year.
