Oklahoma City – Marco Brizuela of John Brown and Matias Garcia of Mid-America Christian have been named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Digital Scoreboards Men’s Soccer Players of the Week, as released by the conference office Monday morning.

- Helped the Golden Eagles to a season-opening 2-1 win over Benedictine (Kan.)
- Scored the game-winning goal by converting a penalty kick in the 73rd minute
- Had three total shots, with two of those being on frame

- Led the MACU defense in allowing three shots over the two matches
- Helped hold Paul Quinn to zero shots in the match. This is the first time since 2021 that the Evangels have held a team without a shot attempt in a match
- Was key to limiting Concordia (Neb.) to three total shots in their 5-0 victory.
