Oklahoma City – Mohamed Guled of Mid-America Christian and Betzaidy Najera of Nelson are this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Digital Scoreboards Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Runners of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday morning.
Men’s Runner of the Week
Mohamed Guled
Mid-America Christian, Junior
Al Ain City, United Arab Emirates
- Took part in the Missouri Southern Stampede
- Placed first in the event that featured 309 runners from NCAA Division II, NAIA, and Junior Colleges
- Had a time of 23:00.6, which broke the 8k course record by eight seconds and the Evangels record mark by more than two minutes.
- His time is now the fastest 8k time in the NAIA this season by 54 seconds.
- Guled was also selected as the USTFCCCA NAIA Men’s Athlete of the Week for his efforts

- Took part in the Missouri Southern Stampede
- Placed 105th in the event that featured 270 runners from NCAA Division II, NAIA, and Junior Colleges
- Had a time of 20:16.8 over the 5k course with a 6:31.6 per mile pace.
