Oklahoma City – Lepra George of John Brown and Ashton Howard of North Texas-Dallas have earned this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Oklahoma Ford Dealers Men’s Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards for their efforts over the past week as announced by the conference office Monday morning.
 
George helped the Golden Eagles to a 90-86 victory over Oklahoma City by scoring 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting while hitting four three-pointers in the victory. George also added three assists while adding a pair of rebounds in the win.
 
Other Nominees - Greg Crawford, UNT Dallas, Richard Amaefule, Texas Wesleyan, Amaree Brown, Oklahoma Panhandle State, Quenton Coleman, Wayland Baptist, Yorgio Golesis, Oklahoma City, and Bryce Monroe, Langston.
 
Howard helped North Texas-Dallas to a 71-64 victory over Science & Arts last week as he finished the day with three defensive boards while adding three blocks and a steal in the win. Howard also chipped in with 15 points in the victory.
