Six Schools Represent the SAC in the Learfield Directors' Cup Standings

Oklahoma City – The Sooner Athletic Conference is well represented in the Learfield Directors’ Cup after the completion of the fall season, with six schools listed in the top 100 in the NAIA Standings, led by John Brown in 24th place.
 
The Learfield Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution’s finish in the NAIA Championships.
 
The Golden Eagles earned a total of 137 points this fall, with their women’s soccer team gaining 73 points while the John Brown men’s soccer team garnered 64 points based on their finish in the NAIA championship tournament.
 
Oklahoma City is right behind the Golden Eagles in 28th place with 132 points, as the Stars earned 61.5 points in women’s cross country, 46 points in men’s cross country, and 25 points in men’s soccer.
 
Mid-America Christian and Science & Arts join Texas Wesleyan in 81st place with 50 points each as the Evangels and Drovers gained their points in women’s soccer, while the Rams earned their points in football.
 
Nelson rounds out the SAC teams in the Top 100 as the Lions are in 98th place with 25 points after gaining those points in volleyball.
