Oklahoma City – Leighanne Eaton of Science & Arts has been named this week’s NAIA National Softball Player of the Week, as announced by the national office on Tuesday afternoon. The award is voted on by the institutional and conference sports information directors from around the country.

Eaton paced the Drovers to a perfect 4-0 record to open the season by going 9-of-12 at the plate for a batting average of .750. Eaton had two doubles and a home run over the span with 11 runs batted in while scoring four times herself. Eaton finished the week with a 1.167 slugging percentage and a .769 on-base percentage.
