Oklahoma City - The Sooner Athletic Conference and Tinker Federal Credit Union have started a new initiative this women’s basketball season called “We Belong Here.”
 
This campaign celebrates the power, talent, and impact of women in sports across the SAC. Throughout the women’s basketball season, each member institution will rally its campus and community to pack the stands and show its pride in supporting women’s athletics at each game. 
 
During the past regular-season conference games, attendance was tracked for all games. The school with the highest total attendance is being recognized this afternoon as the University of Science & Arts is this year’s overall winner!
 
Science & Arts will receive a trophy and 50 t-shirts to distribute to the student-athletes and fans to celebrate their outstanding accomplishment in promoting women’s sports.
 
Accepting the trophy from SAC Commissioner John Martin and Tinker Federal Credit Union’s Business Development Officer Thurman Releford are USAO’s President, Dr. Kayla Hale, Director of Athletics, Mike Ross, Senior Women’s Administrator Cathy Perri, and Women’s Basketball Coach Jaye Nayreau.
