Oklahoma City – After claiming both the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships, Oklahoma City claimed the top spot in the 2026 Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll. The poll was voted on by the league's head coaches.
 
The Stars gained the top spot on the list with 78 points and seven first-place votes after finishing the 2025 season with an overall record of 14-4-4 and a league mark of 5-0-4 before winning the conference tournament. Oklahoma City advanced to the NAIA National Tournament before falling in the opening round.
 
Mid-America Christian grabbed the second spot in the poll with 72 points and three first-place votes after finishing the last year with an overall record of 9-9-4 and a league mark of 5-2-2 before being eliminated in the conference tournament semifinal.
 
John Brown claimed the third position on the list with 69 points after wrapping up the 2025 season with an overall record of 12-5-5 and a league mark of 5-1-3 before falling in the conference tournament title match. The Golden Eagles advanced to the NAIA Tournament final site before falling in the round of 16.
