Oklahoma City – Derek Nájera and Abigail Stucker of John Brown are this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Digital Scoreboards Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Runners of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday morning.

John Brown, Freshman
Cartago, Costa Rica
- Took part in the Queen City After Dark
- Placed eighth in the event that featured 173 runners from NCAA Division II and NAIA.
- Had a time of 18:46 over the 6k course, with a 5:02 pace on the course
- Helped the Golden Eagles to a fourth-place finish in the event

Women’s Runner of the Week
Abigail Stucker
John Brown, Sophomore
Ft. Worth, Texas
- Took part in the Queen City After Dark
- Placed fifth in the event out of 138 runners from NCAA Division II and NAIA.
- Had a time of 17:44 over the 5k course as she set a new program 5k mark by two seconds.
- Helped the Golden Eagles to a fourth-place finish, which is the best team result from the NAIA teams that competed
