OKLAHOMA CITY – Colton Williams from Science & Arts became the Sooner Athletic Conference baseball pitcher of the week for the seventh time in his career and second time on the season.
Oklahoma City University’s Bryson Lierle took player of the week to round out the SAC weekly honors for April 19-25. Oklahoma City and Science & Arts enter the final series of the regular season tied atop the conference standings with identical 18-3 league marks this year.

Bryson Lierle equaled his career-best performance with two 4-for-4 outings to lead Oklahoma City to a crucial series win over Southwestern Christian the past week. Lierle crushed a two-run home run at Southwestern Christian on Thursday while extending his hitting streak to 14 games. Lierle doubled twice with an RBI double in the third inning while going 4-for-4 during the second game of the doubleheader Saturday. Lierle posted a .727 average, two doubles, a homer, three RBIs and 1.182 slugging percentage during April 19-25. In 2021, Lierle has collected a .363 batting average, 14 doubles, 12 homers and 40 RBIs.

Colton Williams became Science & Arts’ career leader in victories with a 31-0 career mark after blanking Southwestern Assemblies of God on three hits Saturday at Bill Smith Ballpark in Chickasha, Okla. Williams struck out four in seven innings to notch his second shutout of the year. Williams needed 65 pitches to finish the game in only 1:17. Williams retired 11 Southwestern Assemblies batters on groundouts and nine in a row from the second through the fifth innings. Caleb Martin held the previous Drovers’ career record with 30 wins. Williams has turned in a 10-0 mark, 1.61 earned run average, five complete games and 76 strikeouts in 61.2 innings on the year.
