Three SAC Teams Earn Bids into the 2024 NAIA Women's Soccer National Tournament

Oklahoma City – Three Sooner Athletic Conference women’s soccer teams have advanced to the 2024 NAIA National Women’s Soccer Tournament as announced by the National Office Saturday afternoon.
 
Conference Tournament Champions John Brown will join Mid-America Christian and Science & Arts in the 40-team field with first and second-round action taking place starting on Thursday, Nov. 21 at campus sites from around the country.
 
John Brown earned the No. 16 seed in the tournament and will host Central Methodist at Alumni Field in Siloam Springs, Ark. The Golden Eagles claimed the Sooner tournament title with an overall record of 14-5-1 and were second in the nation with 157 corner kicks. The Eagles, out of the Heart of America grabbed an at-large berth out of the Heart with an overall mark of 16-3-1 and were 16th in the country with 121 corner kicks. This will be the 10 time that the Golden Eagles have appeared in the tournament.
 
Mid-America Christian will open first-round play in Hattiesburg, Miss., as the Evangels will take on Xavier in a match that will be played at William Carey. The Evangels earned an at-large berth out of the Sooner with an overall record of 14-3-2 and are averaging 19.3 shots per match. The Golden Nuggets won the Red River tournament crown with an overall record of 13-5-2 as they converted all six of their penalty kick chances. This is the first time that Mid-America Christian has advanced to the national tournament in program history.
 
The winner of the first-round matchup will advance to face the No. 2 seeded Crusaders of William Carey! The Crusaders were the Southern States tournament champions with an overall mark of 18-1-1 as they led the nation with 323 shots on goal.
 
Science & Arts will make their seventh appearance in the tournament as they will head to Columbia, Mo., to face Friends. The Drovers gained an at-large berth out of the Sooner with an overall record of 17-2-1 and are eighth in the country with 139 corner kicks. The Falcons claimed the KCAC tournament title with an overall record of 14-5-2 and were seventh in the country with 12 shutouts.
 
The winner of the first-round matchup will advance to face the No. 7-seeded Cougars of Columbia College! The Cougars won the American Midwest Tournament championship with an overall record of 17-1-1 and were third in the country with 14 shutouts.
