Solis and Lonberg Earn SAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week Honors

Oklahoma City – Damaris Solis of Nelson and Ashlyn Lonberg of Science & Arts have been named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Players of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning. 
 
Solis aided the Lions to a 1-0-1 record last week by scoring three goals on five total shots for the two matches. Solis had a brace in a 3-2 victory over LSU Alexandria, with her second goal of the day being the game-winner. Solis added another goal in a 1-1 draw against Texas A&M-Victoria.

Lonberg was outstanding in net for the Drovers, making 11 saves against three nationally ranked opponents. She had a save in a 2-1 loss to Hastings and four saves in a 1-0 victory over No. 3 College of Idaho. Lonberg finished the week with a six-save effort in a 0-0 draw against No. 13 Embry-Riddle.
