McDowall and Diduch Earn SAC Oklahoma Ford Dealers Baseball Player of the Week Honors

Oklahoma City – Peyton McDowall of Science & Arts was named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week while Colby Diduch of Panhandle State earned the Pitcher of the Week honor for their efforts ending March 10, 2024, announced by the league office Monday morning.
 
McDowall was crucial to USAO’s sweep of Southwest on the road. McDowall finished the week batting 11-15 (.733) with two doubles, a triple, and four homers. He scored eight runs and drove in 10 runs, along with a 1.800 slugging percentage. He also became USAO's all-time homerun leader with his 33rd and 34th homers in the series finale at USW. In the series finale 22-10 victory over USW, McDowall had four extra-base hits, including a pair of home runs to aid the Drovers.

Diduch was outstanding in a Panhandle State 18-1 victory over Wayland Baptist as he tossed seven innings with 13 strikeouts while allowing two hits and one earned run in his outing. Diduch finished the day with an .86 WHIP and a 1.29 earned run average in the complete game win for Panhandle State.
