Oklahoma City – Tanner Bailey and Keena Goze of College of the Ozarks are this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Runners of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.
Bailey competed in the University of Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival and took the top spot on the podium with a time of 24:53.2 over the 8K course. The race featured 256 runners from the NCAA, NAIA, and junior colleges as Bailey helped the Bobcats to a ninth-place finish in the team event. Bailey has the seventh best time in the NAIA this fall and holds the fastest time on the SAC thus far.

Goze also took part in the University of Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival as she set another personal best with a mark of 18:30.03 over the 5K course. The race saw 239 runners compete from all divisions as Goze was the third NAIA runner to finish in the field. Her time in the event was also the third fastest time in the Sooner this fall.
