Oklahoma City – Nelson and Texas Wesleyan have earned berths into the 2025 NAIA National Volleyball Tournament that will begin on Saturday, November 22, at 24 locations around the country. The national field was announced by the national office on Monday afternoon.
The Lions and the Rams finished the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference in a tie for the regular season championship, with Nelson claiming the tournament title in a thrilling five-set match against Texas Wesleyan this past Saturday evening.
Texas Wesleyan will head to McPhearson, Kan., to take on McPhearson in a first-round match-up. The Bulldogs are the KCAC regular-season champions with an overall mark of 31-2. The Rams are the Sooner tournament runners-up with an overall record of 25-7.
Nelson will travel to Bartlesville, Okla., to take on Oklahoma Wesleyan in another first-round contest. The Eagles are the KCAC tournament title with an overall record of 25-3. The Lions won the Sooner regular season and tournament crowns with an overall record of 25-9.
The winners of the first-round matches will advance to the NAIA Volleyball final site at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa, starting on December 3.
All championship opening round matches will be broadcast by each host and can be viewed for free on the
NAIA Channel of the Urban Edge Network.
