Oklahoma City – Carlos Medina and Brock Cordes of Mid-America Christian have been named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Oklahoma Ford Dealers Baseball Players of the Week for their efforts over the past week as announced by the conference office Monday morning.
 
Medina claimed this week’s Player of the Week award by aiding the Evangels to a 4-1 week by going 7-of-12 from the plate for an average of .583 with a slugging percentage of 1.250. Medina had a pair of doubles and two round trippers while driving in five runs during the week and added a stolen base and five runs scored to his stat line.

Cordes earned the league’s Pitcher of the Week award by tossing a complete game one-hitter in a 5-0 victory over Dakota State. Cordes surrendered his only hit in the top of the seventh inning and struck out 11 batters while only having one walk in seven innings.
