Sooner Athletic Conference Well Represented at the 2025 NAIA Men's Golf National Tournament

Oklahoma City – Three Sooner Athletic Conference schools and an individual will be represented at the 2025 NAIA Men’s National Golf Tournament that will be held at TPC Deere Run located in Silvis, Illinois, which will begin on Tuesday, May 20.
 
The tournament field comprises 29 teams and 11 individual qualifiers competing for the Red Banner this season.
 
SAC Tournament Champions, Wayland Baptist, will look for their first national championship while Oklahoma City will take to the course in search of their 12th championship. Texas Wesleyan will join the field as they will attempt to claim its seventh title. Grant Ferreira of Southwestern Christian will compete for the individual title after tying for fifth in the conference tournament.
 
The three teams will all start on the front nine on Tuesday, with Texas Wesleyan beginning at 7:00 a.m., followed by the Stars at 7:50 a.m., and the Pioneers at 8:40 a.m. Ferreira will compete for the individual title and will begin on the 10th hole at 9 a.m.
 
Oklahoma City will be led by Tres Hill, who was named as a finalist for the NAIA Jack Nicklaus Award last week. Hill was named the SAC Golfer of the Year and ranked second in the country with a scoring average of 71.34 this season.
 
Colin Price will lead the Texas Wesleyan efforts this week, as he was also named a finalist for the National Player of the Year Award. Price earned his first SAC All-Conference honor following the conference tournament with a 71.78 scoring average.
 
Leonard Lebrun and Benjamin Lubker will pace the Pioneers after earning NAIA All-Region honors last week.
 
Ferreira was also named to the NAIA All-Region team last week.
