Science & Arts and Oklahoma City Earn Berths in the 2025 NAIA National Softball Tournament

Oklahoma City - Science & Arts and Oklahoma City will represent the Sooner Athletic Conference in the 2025 NAIA National Softball Tournament, which begins on Monday, May 12, at 10 sites nationwide. 

The winners of each of the opening round sites will advance to the 44th Annual NAIA National Championship starting May 22 at South Commons Complex in Columbus, Georgia.

The Drovers will host the opening round at Bill Smith Ballpark in Chickasha, Okla., as the top seed after winning both the SAC regular season and tournament titles with an overall record of 47-7, and will look to claim their second Red Banner. They will face the No. 4-seeded Tigers of Stillman! The Tigers won the HBCU Conference tournament with an overall record of 33-11 and are making their second straight trip to the postseason.

The other opening round match-up will feature the No. 2-seeded Vikings of Grand View! The Vikings won the Heart tournament title with an overall mark of 37-13 and are making their 10th appearance in the championship field. They will take on the No. 3-seeded Lions of Freed-Hardeman! The Lions earned an at-large berth out of the Mid-South with an overall record of 20-15 and are making their eighth trip to the national tournament.
 
The Stars will also host the opening round at Ann Lacy Stadium in Oklahoma City. The Stars are the top seed after finishing as the SAC tournament runner-up with an overall record of 46-8 and will make their tournament-best 12th appearance in the postseason. 
 
The No. 4 seed is the Jaguars of Houston-Victoria! The Jaguars earned an at-large berth out of the Red River with an overall mark of 29-21, as they will be making their eighth appearance in the tournament field. They will face the No. 5-seeded Mustangs of Morningside! The Mustangs are the Great Plains tournament runner-up with an overall mark of 33-17 and are appearing in the national tournament for the first time since 2021. 
 
The No. 2 seed is the Spartans of Missouri Baptist! The Spartans claimed the AMC regular season and tournament championships with an overall record of 44-6 and will make their second consecutive appearance in the tournament field. They will face the No. 3-seeded Crusaders of William Carey! The Crusaders gained an at-large berth out of the Southern States with an overall mark of 35-17 and are making their 10th appearance in the national tournament.
