Oklahoma City – After leading Oklahoma City to another outstanding season and aiding in a top 10 national ranking, Analise Rayburn has been named the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Year as voted on by the league’s coaches last week before the conference tournament began.
Sophie Williams of Science & Arts earned the conference Pitcher of the Year award while Trinity Williams of Panhandle State garnered the Newcomer of the Year honors. Drovers Head Coach Jadyn Wallis was voted as the SAC Coach of the Year.
Rayburn led the Stars to an overall record of 46-8 and a runner-up finish in the conference tournament by leading the conference with a .503 batting average, in hits with 90, and runs batted in 90 as well.
Williams claimed her third consecutive conference end-of-the-year award by leading the Drovers to both the conference regular season and tournament championships with an overall record of 47-7, with an earned run average of 1.31 in pitching 181 innings this season. Williams led the league in wins with 26 and in strikeouts with 193.
Higgins was a key to the Aggies earning the No. 5 seed in the SAC tournament with an overall record of 26-27 by finishing eighth in the conference with a batting average of .442 and was sixth in the league with 56 runs scored. Higgins also led the conference with 66 stolen baes.
Wallis garnered the Coach of the Year award by leading the Drovers to the top spot in the last NAIA Top 25 poll as Science & Arts claimed the regular season and tournament titles with an overall record of 47-7.
