Oklahoma City – For the second consecutive year, Analise Rayburn has been named the 2026 Sooner Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Year as voted on by the league's head coaches before the start of the conference tournament this past weekend.
Aubree Ferguson of Science & Arts earned the conference Pitcher of the Year award, while Kaiden Spidell of Oklahoma City garnered the Newcomer of the Year honor, with Hadley Gibson of Oklahoma City claiming the Freshman of the Year award. Science & Arts head coach Jadyn Wallis was named the SAC Coach of the Year for the second straight season.
Rayburn led the Stars to the SAC tournament championship with a .461 batting average while driving in a team-high 96 runs this season. Rayburn also had a conference-best 26 home runs and 24 doubles for the season.
Ferguson led the conference with a 0.68 earned run average and finished the season with a 22-2 record with 19 complete games. Ferguson also led the league with 144 strikeouts while allowing a conference-best 20 runs during the year.
Spidell finished the year with the 10
th-best batting average in the league as she had a .419 average at the plate. Spidell also had 46 runs batted in with 17 doubles and three home runs.
Gibson was third in the conference with a .488 batting average while driving in 44 runs and scoring 90 runs herself. Gibson completed the season with 23 doubles, four triples, and a home run.
Wallis led the Drovers to the SAC regular season championship with an overall record of 47-9 and a league mark of 33-3 as Science & Arts is currently ranked fourth in the country heading into the upcoming NAIA National Tournament.
