Oklahoma City – Chloe Threatt of Langston and Avery Brown of Panhandle State have been named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Digital Scoreboard Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for their efforts this past week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.
Threatt took part in the JD Martin Invite in Norman, Okla., and had a pair of sixth-place finishes at the meet. Threatt had an NAIA “B” Standard time of 7.62 in the 60-meter dash against a loaded field. Threatt then posted a time of 26.26 in the 200-meter dash to earn points for the Lions against 46 other runners.
Other Nominees - Inmaculada Delgado, Wayland Baptist, Cora Eyler, Mid-America Christian, and Breyanna Kemp, Panhandle State.
Brown also took part in the JD Martin Invite and paced the Aggies throwers in the Shot Put and the Weight Throw. In the Shot Put, Brown placed sixth with a toss of 10.11, while in the Weight Throw, Brown had a throw of 11.97. Both marks were season bests for the sophomore.
