Bailey and Lofton Earns SAC Digital Scoreboards Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week

Oklahoma City – Tanner Bailey of College of the Ozarks and Ian Lofton of Langston have been named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Digital Scoreboards Men’s Outdoor Track Athletes of the Week for their efforts this past week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.
 
Bailey took part in the Central Missouri Mule Relays and took the top spot in one of the featured distance events. Bailey took first place in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 30:37.69, which is an NAIA “B” standard mark in the event. The time is also the fastest time in the event this spring.
 
Other Nominees - Halen Biggs, Oklahoma City, Chase Cotarelo, Mid-America Christian, Ethan Jonason, Wayland Baptist, Brandon Clark Jr, Nelson University, Austin White, Panhandle State, and Mitchell Williams, Langston.
 
Lofton participated in the John Jacobs Invitational and was able to grab a spot on the podium in the triple jump. Lofton finished third in the event with a leap of 14.36m against a field that featured NCAA Division II and NAIA competitors. His jump is also the second longest in the conference this spring.
