Oklahoma City – Diamond Richardson of Langston and Jerney Bennett of Oklahoma City have earned this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Oklahoma Ford Dealers Women’s Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards for their efforts over the past week as announced by the conference office Monday morning.
 
Richardson aided the Lions to an 82-76 victory over Mid-America Christian by scoring 30 points with three triples on the day while going 9-of-11 from the charity stripe in the win. Richardson also added four rebounds, three steals, and an assist in the win. 
 
Other Nominees - Linda Brice, Wayland Baptist, Jamiah Clay, Oklahoma Panhandle State, Skye Dugan, UNT Dallas, Amaya Gordon, Oklahoma City, Sarah Snodgrass, John Brown, and Tayran Wills, Texas Wesleyan.
 
Bennett paced the Stars to a 1-1 week with 17 defensive rebounds and 12 blocks in the pair of games. She finished with a double-double in a 63-55 loss to Columbia College with 15 points and a career-high 16 boards with 13 of those being on the defensive end.
