Oklahoma City – Elena Kagiali and Winiffer Rodriguez of Panhandle State and Natalie Adams of Oklahoma City have earned Sooner Athletic Conference Volleyball Players of the Week honors as released by the conference office Monday morning.
Kagiali was named the league’s Attacker of the Week, with Rodriguez earning Defender of the Week honors while Adams garnered the Setter of the Week Award.
Kagiali helped the Aggies to a 3-0 conference record last week with 59 kills for an average of 4.92 kills per set with a hitting percentage of .252 on 135 total attacks. Kagiali accounted for 30 kills and a hitting percentage of .417 in a 3-1 win over Wayland Baptist. In the three matches, Kagiali added 73 receptions and 34 digs to her stat line.

Rodriguez anchored the Aggies’ defense in the three matches last week with 67 digs for an average of 5.58 digs per set. Rodriguez contributed 31 digs in a 3-1 win over Wayland Baptist. Rodriguez was also credited with 61 receptions for a reception percentage of .934 and nine assists during the three-match span.

Adams paced the Stars to a 3-0 record last week with 127 assists for an average of 12.70 assists per set. Adams had 52 helpers in a 3-1 win over Central Christian while adding 41 assists in a sweep of Langston, and finished the week with 34 assists in a 3-0 win over Southwestern Christian. Adams also had six kills and three total blocks during the week.
