Oklahoma City – Pablo Benavides of Panhandle State and Matias Garcia of Mid-America Christian have been named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Players of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
 
Benavides aided the Aggies to a 2-2 draw at John Brown this past weekend as he scored a goal in the 77^th minute to even the match. The match against the Golden Eagles was his first collegiate start as he had one shot with that being the game-tying score.
 
Other Nominees - Ryan Jeanfreau, Mid-America Christian, Maximiliano Campos, Wayland Baptist, Juan Erazo, Oklahoma City, and Amaury Jarry, John Brown.
 
Garcia aided the Evangels backline in a 2-0 victory over Central Christian as Mid-America Christian surrendered only three second half shots. This was the fifth clean sheet of the season with Garcia anchoring the defensive side. Garcia also scored the Evangels second goal of the match while logging all 90 minutes in the win.
