Oklahoma City Collects Top Seed in Upcoming SAC Men's Soccer Tournament

The Stars Win the SAC Regular Season Title for First Time Since 2014

Oklahoma City – In a regular season that came down to the final match, Oklahoma City has earned the regular season championship and the top seed in the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Tournament that will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 4. 
 
This is the first time since 2014 that the Stars have claimed the conference regular-season title after winning the conference tournament last year for the first time since 2002.
 
John Brown will enter the post-season tournament as the No. 2 seed, while Mid-America Christian will claim the No. 3 seed, with Wayland Baptist garnering the No. 4 seed in the championship.
 
The Stars will open the first round at Brian Harvey Field in Oklahoma City as they will face off against No. 8 seed Panhandle State in a 7 p.m. start. The Stars wrapped up the regular season with an overall record of 11-3-4 and a conference mark of 5-0-4. The Aggies completed the regular season with an overall record of 6-5-5 and a league record of 2-4-3. Oklahoma City won the regular season contest between the two squads 3-2 back on September. 29.
 
The Golden Eagles are receiving votes in the latest coaches’ poll as they will welcome the No. 7 seed, Texas Wesleyan, to Alumni Field in Siloam Springs, Ark., in a 7 p.m. start. John Brown finished the regular season campaign with an overall record of 10-3-4 and a league record of 5-1-3. The Rams join the field with an overall record of 9-9-0 and a league mark of 3-6-0 after earning the higher seed over Panhandle State via the head-to-head tiebreaker. Texas Wesleyan handed John Brown their only conference loss of the season, 3-2, on October 9.
 
The Evangels will open tournament action at Dill Soccer Field as they will take on No. 6 seed Southwestern Christian in a 7 p.m. start. Mid-America Christian wrapped up the 2025 season with an overall record of 7-7-4 and a conference mark of 5-2-2. The Eagles advance to the tournament with an overall mark of 7-4-5 and a league record of 2-3-4. The Evangels defeated Southwestern Christian 2-1 in their regular-season contest on October 11.
 
In the final contest of the first round, Wayland Baptist will welcome No. 5 seed Nelson to Hillard Field in Plainview, Texas, in a 6 p.m. start. The Pioneers completed the regular season with an overall record of 7-5-2 and a league mark of 4-3-2. The Lions finished the 2025 campaign with an overall mark of 8-6-3 and a conference record of 3-4-2. Nelson defeated Wayland Baptist in the regular season 3-0 this past weekend.
 
The conference semifinals will take place on Friday, November 7, while the championship match will take place on Monday, November 10.
