Field Set for the 2025 SAC Volleyball Tournament

Oklahoma City – After an exciting end to the regular season this past weekend, Nelson and Texas Wesleyan wrapped up conference action as co-regular season champions, with the Lions earning the top seed in the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament via a tiebreaker. The first round of the tournament will take place on Tuesday, November 11, at four sites around the conference.
 
Nelson earns the No. 1seed after gaining a tiebreaker over the Rams by winning four out of seven sets in their regular season matches against each other. Mid-America Christian will start the tournament as the No. 3 seed, having claimed the tiebreaker over No. 4 Wayland Baptist by outscoring the Pioneers in their two matches this season after the two squads split their meetings this season by identical 3-1 scores.
 
The Lions will open tournament play, hosting the No. 8 seed Science & Arts at the Sheaffer Center in Waxahachie, Texas, in a 6 p.m. start. Nelson finished the season with an overall record of 22-9 and a league mark of 20-2. The Drovers join the tournament field with an overall mark of 17-14 and a league record of 11-11. Nelson won both regular-season contests by scores of 3-1.
 
The Rams will welcome No. 7 seed College of the Ozarks to the Sid Richardson Center in Fort Worth, Texas, on Tuesday, with the start time set for 6 p.m. Texas Wesleyan completed the season with an overall record of 23-6 and a conference mark of 20-2. The Bobcats enter tournament action with an overall record of 17-11 and a league record of 12-10. The Rams won both regular-season meetings by scores of 3-0 and 3-1.
 
The Evangels will open tournament play at the Gaulke Activity Center in Oklahoma City as they host No. 6 seed Oklahoma City in a 6 p.m. start. Mid-America Christian finished the 2025 campaign with an overall record of 18-11 and a conference mark of 14-8. The Stars completed the season with an overall record of 16-12 and a league record of 13-9 as they lost the tiebreaker with Panhandle State. Both teams claimed a victory over each other in the regular season by scores of 3-1.
 
The Pioneers will welcome No. 5 seed Panhandle State to the Hutcherson Center on Tuesday evening in a 7 p.m. start. Wayland Baptist finished the regular season with an overall record of 15-11 and a conference mark of 14-8. The Aggies wrapped up the campaign with an overall mark of 15-14 and a league record of 13-9. Panhandle State won both regular-season matches by scores of 3-1.
 
The winners of the first round matches will advance to the tournament semifinals that will be hosted by Texas Wesleyan at the Sid Richardson Center in Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday, November 14. The championship match will take place on Saturday, November 15, at 6 p.m.
