Waxahachie, TX – The Nelson University Lady Lions Volleyball program is entering an exciting new chapter as Nick Moore has been promoted to Head Coach. After an impressive 11-year tenure serving as an Assistant Coach, Associate Head Coach, and Director of Recruiting, Moore now takes the helm of a program that has consistently dominated the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) and made history with National Championship appearances.  

Moore's impact on the program has been undeniable. As the team's Director of Recruiting, he played a pivotal role in attracting top-tier talent to Nelson University, helping establish the Lady Lions as a perennial powerhouse. His expertise in scouting and game planning has been a driving force behind the team's sustained success.  

But Moore's journey to the head coaching position is more than just experience—it's legacy. He has spent over a decade learning from one of the best—his father, longtime Nelson University Head Coach Hank Moore. Under his father's leadership, Nick played an integral role in recruiting top talent, refining game strategies, and ensuring the Lady Lions remained a dominant force in the SAC. Now, as he steps into the head coaching role, he carries forward both his personal coaching philosophy and the values instilled by his father.

This is not a situation that most institutions experience but one that Nick is certainly deserving of at this time.
