Oklahoma City – Seyi Atolagbe of Mid-America Christian, Emily Lewis of Texas Wesleyan, and Mia Sanchez of Panhandle State have earned Sooner Athletic Conference Volleyball Players of the Week as released by the conference office Monday morning.
Atolagbe was named the league’s Attacker of the Week, with Lewis earning Defender of the Week honors while Sanchez garnered the Setter of the Week Award.
Atolagbe paced the Evangels to a 3-1 record last week at the College of the Ozarks Invite by posting 35 kills with an average of 2.50 kills per set in the four matches. Atolagbe finished the week with a .468 hitting percentage on 62 total attacks and six attack errors while also adding nine total blocks.

Lewis aided the Rams to a 2-2 record in the Texas Two-Step by recording 58 digs in the four matches with an average of 3.87 digs per set while having 74 receptions and four errors for an average of .946 reception average. Lewis also had four service aces on 74 service attempts with two service errors.

Sanchez surpassed the 1,000 career assists mark last week as she finished the Aggies’ four matches with 138 assists for an average of 8.63 assists per set, including a career-high 53 helpers in a five-set loss to Ottawa. Sanchez also added 38 digs and 13 kills for the weekend.
