Ogunbade, Schier, and Garcia Garner SAC Volleyball Player of the Week Honors

Oklahoma City – Fade Ogunbade of Wayland Baptist, Kaetlen Schier of Mid-America Christian, and Ytzel Garcia of Science & Arts have earned Sooner Athletic Conference Volleyball Players of the Week as released by the conference office Monday morning.
 
Ogunbade was named the league’s Attacker of the Week, with Schier earning Defender of the Week honors while Garcia garnered the Setter of the Week Award.
 
Ogunbade aided the Pioneers last week with 41 kills for an average of 3.15 kills per set with a hitting percentage of .348 in three matches last week. Ogunbade also had 11 total blocks with six of those being solo blocks for a 0.85 blocks per set average while adding seven digs.

Schier helped the Evangels to a 2-1 record last week with 48 digs for an average of 4.36 digs per set while having 54 receptions with five reception errors for a reception percentage of .907. Schier also added seven assists in the three matches.

Garcia paced the Drovers to a 2-2 record last week with 81 assists for an average of 6.23 assists per set while adding 14 digs for the week. Garcia also had eight service aces in the four matches, with seven of those coming in a 3-0 sweep of Florida Memorial.
