Three SAC Baseball Teams Head to the 2025 NAIA National Baseball Championships

Oklahoma City – Three Sooner Athletic Conference Baseball teams will represent the conference in the 2025 NAIA Baseball National Tournament that begins on Monday, May 12, at 10 sites from around the country.
 
Wayland Baptist and Science & Arts each earned the league’s automatic berths into the tournament, while Mid-America Christian gained an at-large berth into the championship field.
 
The 10 winners from the opening sites will advance to the 68th National Baseball Championship starting on May 23, at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho.
 
Wayland Baptist will head to Lewiston, Idaho, and will be the No. 2 seed in the opening round. The Pioneers are the Sooner regular season champions with an overall record of 39-17 and will be making their first trip to the national tournament since 2016. They will battle the No. 3-seeded Warriors of Lewis-Clark State! The Warriors won the Cascade tournament championship and are the World Series Host with an overall record of 35-14 and have an NAIA record of 19 Baseball Red Banners.
 
The No. 4 seed is the Hustlin’ Owls of Oregon Tech! The Hustlin’ Owls gained an at-large berth out of the Cascade with an overall mark of 38-14 and will join the tournament field for the first time in program history. They will face the No. 5-seeded Blue Hawks of Dickinson State! The Blue Hawks are the North Star Tournament Runner-up with an overall record of 21-29 and are joining the tournament field for the first time in program history.
 
The Royals of Hope International are the No. 1 seed in Lewiston, as they claimed the Great Southwest tournament championship with an overall record of 43-8 and are the defending NAIA Tournament champions.
 
Science & Arts will travel to Lincoln, Neb., for the opening round as the No. 3 seed, as they claimed the Sooner tournament title with an overall record of 31-22 and will be making their 10th trip to the national tournament. They will take on the No. 2 seed Bulldogs of Concordia! The Bulldogs are the Great Plains regular season champions with an overall record of 40-11 and are joining the tournament field for the seventh time.
 
The No. 4 seed is the Wildcats of Indiana Wesleyan! The Wildcats are the Crossroads tournament runner-up with an overall mark of 29-21 and in the national field for the fifth time in program history. They will face the No. 5-seeded Mustangs of Mount Mercy! The Mustangs are the Heart tournament runner-up with an overall mark of 33-21 and are making their second straight appearance in the tournament field.
 
The No. 1 seed is the Warriors of Webber International! The Warriors claimed the SUN tournament title with an overall record of 41-13 and will be making their seventh trip to the national tournament.
 
 Mid-America Christian will head to Shreveport, La., as the No. 2 seed, as they gained an at-large berth with an overall record of 38-15 and are making their second consecutive appearance in the tournament. They will face the No. 3-seeded Royals of Johnson! The Royals gained an at-large berth out of the Appalachian with an overall mark of 35-16 and are making their first trip to the national tournament for the first time in program history.
 
 The No. 4 seed is the Braves of Ottawa! The Braves gained an at-large berth out of the KCAC with an. Overall record of 38-14, and they are making their third trip to the national tournament. They will face the No. 5-seeded Knights of Southern New Orleans! The Knights are the HBCU Conference Tournament runner-up with an overall mark of 24-25 and will be making their first trip to the tournament in program history.
 
The No. 1 seed in the opening round is the Pilots of LSU Shreveport! The Pilots won both the Red River regular season and tournament titles with an overall record of 51-0 and will enter their 16th tournament with the best record in college baseball history.
