Oklahoma City- Keamodre Horace, Tyrone Morgan, and Trent McLemore of Wayland Baptist are this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Football Players of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday morning.
Horace earned the league’s Offensive Player of the Week honor, while Morgan was named Defensive Player of the Week, with McLemore garnering the league’s Special Teams Player of the Week honor.
Horace paced the Pioneers to a 73-47 victory over Texas College as set had 195 all-purpose yards in the contest with a total of four touchdowns, which is a new school record. Horace had 132 yards on the ground on 10 carries with three touchdowns and then added 63 yards on three receptions with another score. Horace averaged 13.2 yards per carry and 21 yards per catch in the win.

Morgan as a key for the Pioneers in their win over Texas College as he had a pair of solo tackles and two interceptions. He returned the interceptions 23 yards in the game. Morgan also had a pass breakup and was credited with a pair of blocked kicks in the victory.

McLemore scored 13 of Wayland Baptist’s school record 73 points as he was a perfect 10-for-10 in extra points attempts and he also added a 25-yard field goal in the win. McLemore also averaged 54 yards on 10 kickoffs with six of those ending in touchbacks that aided the Pioneers in winning the field position battle.
