Duncan, Okla. – Oklahoma City men’s and women’s golf teams hold the top spots after the first day of the 2026 Sooner Athletic Conference Golf Championships, being played at The Territory Golf and Country Club in Duncan, Okla.
The Stars men’s team was the only squad to shoot under par in the first two rounds, finishing with scores of 279-291 for a six-under-par total of 570. Science & Arts is in the second position with rounds of 291-288 for a three-over-par score of 579, while Texas Wesleyan enters the final round in third after rounds of 290-293 for a seven-over-par score of 583.
In the men’s individual event, Carter Ray of Oklahoma City and Jose Manuel Sanchez of Texas Wesleyan are tied at the top of the list at five-under-par, while Lorenzo Santinelli of Oklahoma City is a stroke behind at four-under-par. Only seven players finished under par after the first 36 holes of the event.
In women’s action, the Stars finished the first day with a two-stroke advantage over Texas Wesleyan. Oklahoma City had rounds of 305-312 for a 41-over-par score of 617, while the Rams fired rounds of 315-304 for a 43-over-par score of 619. Science & Arts is currently in third place on the team side.
There is a tight race for the women’s medalist title as Logan Allen of Oklahoma City is in the top spot at two-over-par, while Natalie Miksovska of Texas Wesleyan is a stroke behind at three-over-par, with Hudson Woloss of Science & Arts rounding out the top three at four-over-par.
