Texas Wesleyan Collects the 2026 SAC Women's Golf Championship

Junkin Earns Tournament Medalist Honors

Duncan, Okla. – Texas Wesleyan overcame a two-stroke deficit after the first day of the 2026 Sooner Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championship to earn their third title in program history. The 54-hole tournament was held at The Territory Golf and Country Club in Duncan, Okla.
 
Makena Junkin of Texas Wesleyan rallied in the final round to jump from fourth place after the first 36-holes to claim the individual medalist honors in the championship by two strokes.
 
The Rams earned the championship by shooting rounds of 315-304-296 for a 51-over-par team score of 915, while Oklahoma City earned the runner-up spot with rounds of 305-312-308 for a 61-over-par score of 925, with Wayland Baptist rounding out the top three positions.
 
Junkin earned medalist honors by firing rounds of 76-74-69 for a three-over-par score of 219 to hold off Oklahoma City’s Logan Allen, who had rounds of 72-74-75 for a five-over-par score of 221. Texas Wesleyan’s Natalie Miksovska finished third with an 11-over-par score of 227. Klaudie Karnikova of Oklahoma City and Hudson Woloss of Science & Arts round out the top five to earn all-tournament honors.
 
The SAC All-Conference and postseason awards will be announced on Wednesday, April 29, at 2:30 p.m.
