Junkin Earns SAC Women's Golf Player of the Year Honors

Reavis and Holden Claim Postseason Awards

Oklahoma City – After winning the 2026 Sooner Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championship, Makena Junkin of Texas Wesleyan has been named the conference Player of the Year as voted on by the league’s head coaches.
 
Amy Reavis of Science & Arts earned this year’s Freshman of the Year award, while Steve Holden of Science & Arts claimed Coach of the Year honors.
 
Junkin is currently ranked 15th nationally, with a 73.9 scoring average this season, four championships, and nine top-three finishes. Junkin won the conference championship with a three-over-par score of 219.
 
Reavis had an outstanding freshman campaign, posting a 78.4 scoring average, winning a tournament this season, and earning a top-three finish.
 
Holden led the Drovers to fourth place in the conference tournament as Science & Arts has continued to improve throughout the season.
