Oklahoma City – Tara Hoehner of Oklahoma City and Kylie Barnes of Texas Wesleyan have been named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Netting Pros/STADIONIC Softball Players of the Week for their efforts over the past week, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
 
Hoehner claimed her second weekly honor, aiding the Stars to a four-game sweep over Central Christian by going 9-of-14 at the plate for a batting average of .643. Hoehner smashed four home runs during the week and added a double while driving in nine runs and scoring nine times herself. Hoehner wrapped up the week with a 1.571 slugging percentage and an on-base percentage of .643.

Barnes was outstanding in the circle for the Rams as they won their series over Panhandle State by having a 2-0 mark in two starts. Barnes surrendered three hits in her 10 innings of work and did not allow a run to score while striking out eight batters. Barnes finished the week with a .40 WHIP and 5.60 strikeouts per seven innings.
