Oklahoma City- Tony Robinson of Texas Wesleyan, Isaiah Brooks and Isaac Olmos of Wayland Baptist are this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Football Players of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
 
Robinson earned the league’s Offensive Player of the Week honor, while Brooks was named Defensive Player of the Week, with Olmos garnering the league’s Special Teams Player of the Week honor.
 
Robinson helped the Rams in a 44-36 come-from-behind victory over Langston with 119 yards rushing on 14 carries with three touchdowns. Robinson averaged 8.5 yards per carry and had a long run of 36 yards in the contest. Robinson also added a pair of receptions for 11 yards.

Brooks claimed his second straight weekly award in leading the Pioneers defense to a 45-8 win over Arkansas Baptist. Brooks finished the day with 13 total tackles, including five solo stops, while adding a sack for 12 yards, and two tackles for loss for 27 total yards. Brooks also forced two fumbles while recovering both of those in the victory.

Olmos was a contributor in the Pioneers win over Arkansas Baptist as he had seven punts for 257 yards for an average of 36.7 yards in a rain filled contest. Olmos placed a pair of punts inside the 20-yard line while also forcing a fair catch in the outing.
