Ammad and Crosby Claim SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week Honors

Oklahoma City – Mohand Ammad of Science & Arts and Clance Crosby of Mid-America Christian have earned this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards for their efforts over the past week, as announced by the conference office Monday morning.
 
Ammad led the way for the Drovers in a pair of season-opening victories by averaging 34.5 points per game while shooting 59.5 percent from the field. Ammad scored 45 points in a 112-75 win over Ecclesia College, which is the second-most points scored in a game in program history, while also setting a new school record with 18 made free throws. Ammad also added 19 rebounds to his stat line while having four assists and two steals.
 
Other Nominees - Jonas Carlisle, Oklahoma City, Omar Henry, Langston, Trae Oetting, John Brown, Julian Perez, Wayland Baptist, Khalil Turner, Texas Wesleyan, Chris Whitten, Central Christian, Morris Williams, Mid-America Christian, Michal Wooldridge, Southwestern Christian, and Aaron Williams Jr., Oklahoma Panhandle State.    
 
Crosby helped the Evangels to a 2-0 record on the opening weekend of the season with 10 defensive rebounds for an average of 5.0 defensive boards per contest. Crosby also had four blocks and a pair of steals in the two wins.
